Overall Responsibilities:
• Provide technology leadership for systems and network support team, directly communicating and coordinating with other Field Museum departments and external parties. Responsible as lead technical liaison between IT operations and scientific research staff, as well as the business units of the Museum.
Specific Highlights:
• Management of Cisco network infrastructure of approximately 75 routers and switches supporting 1300 devices and 1000 users. Implemented core switch upgrade from a Cisco 4006 to a Cisco 6509-E. Responsible for migration of external ATM OC-3 connection to Gigabit Ethernet metro area network and installation of external cellular antenna with internal amplifier.
• Responsible for technical operations requirements for Payment Card Industry compliance based upon the PCI Data Security Standard.
• Replacement of network attached storage infrastructure with modular storage area network solution. Migration of existing backup solution to scalable fiber attached tape devices. Advanced consolidation planning and rollout for virtualized server environment based upon VMWare ESX.
• Hands on management of mixed operating system environment including Windows 2000/2003, RedHat Linux, and OS X Server. Responsible for Exchange 2003 server capacity upgrade and installation of library proxy server based on EZ Proxy. Acted as lead architect and manager responsible for migration to Google Apps hosted email.
• Provide the Museum with technology industry connections to collaborate on scientific projects including a high performance computing cluster.
• Provide leadership for vendor negotiations. On average, vendor negotiations resulted in a 40% reduction in costs, and estimated savings of greater than $250,000.

Overall Responsibilities:
• Lead technology executive with the primary purpose of developing and implementing systems and processes for tracking an average of $60 million a month of mortgage loan activity (approximately 400 units submitted) and grading the client performance for 10,000 loan officers and 4,000 wholesale brokerage offices nationally. These systems were further extended to cover in-house retail operations with a volume of roughly $10-15 million per month.
Specific Highlights:
• Custom building of a Customer Relationship Management (CRM) application in C# on ASP.NET. The application coordinates efforts of outside sales representatives with the internal sales, production, and management teams to drive sales performance. The application also provides a standardized and centralized reporting system that tracks and logs all broker performance activity to increase marketing effectiveness and allow convenient executive oversight of summary, as well as detailed, business performance metrics.
• Coordination of business processes to fully implement the CRM solution, including completely redesigning the loan prequalification system, loan production systems, and all logging systems, resulting in automatic generation and direct tracking of all prequalification loan and submitted file paperwork from the CRM databases. Automating this process drastically reduced the employee input times and increased the functionality of the sales platforms.
• Coordinating team efforts on daily basis in order to properly address client needs, including training the internal staff on company policies and mortgage underwriting guidelines, and providing client services, including advising on loan structuring and facilitating understanding of industry and OHL Company standards.
• Management of technology budgeting and vendor relationships, including coordination of outsourced infrastructure support and help desk staff.
• Coordination of development efforts for current Loan Origination System (LOS) and CRM applications, with a focus on a migration to a next generation Service Oriented Architecture. Company liaison to development lead and development contractors. Development of specification and functionality documentation and plans for next generation systems in conjunction with leads from multiple vendors with internal staff and contractors.
• Providing detailed technology documentation, budgeting, and resource planning and allocation. Refining documentation for inclusion into Private Placement Memorandum.
